Our Process
Access Trikes is focused on people who want to spend time outside, have fun, and get healthy exercise but have physical challenges in the way of riding a standard bicycle. During an initial phone call, we will discuss your goals and what difficulties you face riding a two wheeler. Next, we will set up a test ride either at our shop on the Bay Trail or in the familiar environment of your residence so you can experience the fun, safety, and comfort of a well-fitted adult tricycle. The last step is to look at recumbent tricycles with various features and select the options that will work best for you.

Marina can manage a two wheeler just fine, but she loved how the lounge seating and the sporty handling of a recumbent tricycle allowed her to relax into the ride. She went searching for a safer workout and found mental clarity.
Exercise is great for your body and even better for your mind. Benefits include reducing stress, regulating moods, and enhancing cognitive function. Outdoor cycling can be a very social way to exercise, and if you stop to chat with a neighbor you always have a comfortable place to sit!

Ben has arthritis in his hip that makes many activities difficult. At age 101, he is also challenged by balance problems. Ben was a bit daunted by getting back on the road after all these years, but he transformed from timid to intrepid on a recumbent tricycle.
Our consultative process takes your physical limitations into account so you can rediscover the pleasure of exercising your body with increased autonomy. It takes very little time to experience the tangible benefits of improved strength, balance, and coordination on tricycles for seniors or adaptive sports. These adult tricycles are for everyone, with configuration possibilities that accommodate a wide range of ages and abilities.
